USA’S LEADING COST AND QUALITY PERFORMANCE PURGING SOLUTION FOR INJECTION MOLDING AND BLOW MOLDING

BLOW MOLDING

Purging Guideline – Blow Moulding

  • Step 1: Maintain processing profile for resin in the machine. (minimum temperature 100°C)
  • Step 2: Empty the screw and barrel of residual resin.
  • Step 3: * Place PurgeMax directly into hopper and follow with purging material immediately.
  • Step 4: ** Purging process can be done by purging or injection.
  • Step 5: Continuous purging until resin appears natural and clean.
  • Step 6: Purging process is complete, resume with standard procedures for next job.

* With applications that require more than one PurgeMax (refer PurgeMax Usage Chart) , place one PurgeMax into the hopper and follow with a small amount of purging resin (layering) and repeat until entire dosage has been added then charge the barrel with purging resin.

Purging Guideline – Blow Moulding with Accumulators

  • 1: Maintain processing profile for resin in the machine.
  • 2: Empty the screw and barrel of residual resin, remove the screen packs.
  • 3: Increase the accumulator temperature around 30’C – 40’C.
  • 4: Place PurgeMax directly into hopper & follow with purging resin/material (by layering), recommended as below: for Blowing Capacity below
    3L ~ 1 to 2 packs PurgeMax,
    3 to 5L ~ 2 to 4 packs,
    6 to 11L ~ 4 to 7 packs,
    12L & above ~ above 8 packs.
  • 5: Start make purging until we see resin being ejected from the accumulator with one continuous purge.
  • 6: Reduce the thickness of the resin (reduce the accumulator volume) & increase the accumulator shot size to the maximum value.
  • 7: You may select either to let PurgeMax soak in the barrel & accumulator for 3 to 6 minutes.
  • 8: Increase the accumulator discharge speed to maximum level & make full purge with the resin to flush away the contamination.
  • 9: Continuous purging until resin appears natural & clean; if contamination persists, pls repeat steps above.
  • 10: Purging process is complete, replace a new or clean screen pack; resume with standard procedures for next job.
